Israel says agreement with Lebanon will maintain freedom to act in self-defense

Israeli government spokesperson David Mencer told Reuters on Tuesday that the agreement with Lebanon will preserve Israel's freedom to operate in the area to defend itself, eliminate the threat posed by Hezbollah, and allow the safe return of residents to northern Israel.
