Italian PM welcomes announcement of ceasefire in Lebanon

On Wednesday, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni stated that Italy welcomes the announcement of a ceasefire in Lebanon.

She added that achieving this goal has been a long-standing effort of the Italian government.

The ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon's Hezbollah took effect on Wednesday after both sides agreed to a deal brokered by the United States and France.
